Dore Lake is a northern hamlet on the southern shore of South Bay on Doré Lake, one of the largest lakes in northern Saskatchewan. Its name is the French word for "walleye."
Today the community is best known for visitors who come to reach the lake. Lodges and other accommodations, including Dore Lake Lodge, The Reel Retreat and Dore Lake Fish'n Camp RV Park, serve tourists. Dore Lake Recreation Site (Michel Point) lies about 16 kilometres to the north-east. The hamlet can be reached by Highway 924 and by Dore Lake Airport.
